We have modified a substantial number of our products to enable them to be ground
fixed using the unique Rootfast® antivandal anchorage system from Earth Anchors
Ltd.
These popular anchors add a further dimension to our ground fixing
options, and enable items of street furniture to be securely ground fixed very
quickly indeed.
Installation costs are genuinely reduced using these
anchors, and are more predictable, so staying within budget limitations is easier.
The
ground must be suitably firm for these anchors to work properly, and it is important
always to check for buried services before starting and to use the probe supplied
in the installation kit to ensure that the ground is suitable, and clear of obstructions.

All parts of the A7 seat anchor are invisible after installation, which makes
the system very tamper resistant.
Litter
bins are secured to the flange of the AB3 ground anchor by four tamper resistant
shear nuts, which is equally tamper resistant. Many of our seats and litter bins
have been modified to enable them to be ground anchored.
The method of
installation varies slightly according to the model specified;some designs require
the use of a simple positioning jig (coloured yellow in the photographs) to maintain
accurate leg spacing.
Litter bin anchors are dimensionally different
to seat anchors, though the installation principles are the same.
Seat
anchors extend approx. 650mm into the ground, and bin anchors extend approx. 750mm
into the ground. |
